These pictures are from a couple of weeks ago, but I thought that I would share. It has been unusually warm out here, but the colors have been changing a little up in the mountains, but not too much. Rick, Madison, and I took a drive up to Beaver Creek to hang out for a little while and then grab some lunch.
Here's my shots from the car window. These pictures don't do the colors any justice, the yellow/gold of the trees are beautiful when they have all changed.

Haha, you can see me in the side mirrors.

Once we got to Beaver Creek, we got out of the car and toured the little ski resort. It was really cute, plus they had all of these neat statues to pose in front of. This sculpture is of a large beer with an arrow in his butt. He is staring down the little boy. It's a really cute statue up close. You can't really tell but Madison is holding onto the arrow in the bears butt.
Madison behind some dude signing the Preemble to the Constitution. Anyone know who the dude is??
Rick and Madison on the bridge overlooking the stream
Madison and I decided that we would get a picture under the big horn sheep, so we both crawled under him. I'm laughing hysterically because as soon as Madison sat under the sheep, we realized that the statue was anatomically correct. Eeewwww, but funny.
It was fun visiting the resort. Rick and I have never skied at Beaver Creek, but we've both heard from several people that it is awesome skiing, so we may try it this winter. Rick is wanting to buy a pair of skis, so that he can ski instead of snowboard this year. I think snowboarding is becoming less popular.
Anyway, we ended our little trip with a trip to the brewery for lunch and then drove back home before the highways got too busy.
